cable splitting

i want to put my spare box up in the bedroom would it be better to put in a 3 way splitter instead of the 2 way thats in now and hope the signal is good enough or use a booster to split the line and then if the signal isnt good enough just turn the gain up

try the two way first and if it isnt good enough then get the signal booster though the splitter should be fine m8

one last question is it ok to attach another splitter on one of the feeds out of the splitter or is it best to purchase a 3 way splitter

if your splitting your signal three ways then its better to use a three way splitter in order to even the load also you may have to consider boosting your signal

Hi i have a 2 way splitter coming off a 3 way splitter and still seems ok signal levels ok.

Ive got 2 way splitter going to 2 way splitter going to 3 way splitter, all works fine!

Does the type of splitter matter. One that I have seems designed to have teh cable modem on a specific port?
