    If, just if...

If things were to go t*ts up on the cable front, what are the options?

    Seems to me -

    1. A proper cable subscription
    2. Switch to a Sat system
    3. CS
    4. Freeview until n3 (etc) is cracked

Wondered what people were thinking of doing?

1 & 2 cost money,,, and out of them option 2 gives the best options..

Because with option 2 you can then do option 3 and recieve all sorts of channels from other providers, and never miss a footy game again.

Also, I thin you will find that if you logged your time watching TV you would spend 90% of it watching freeview.

"If, just if....." I think you mean "when" not if, . For me I am going Sat system and SLY HD full package again, have a DM600 upstairs already, bought the sat tuner, so I will have motorized upstairs for the fitbaw, and she can watch her pish downstairs.

mate of mine @ work just got a cracking deal with sky.

for ?40 a month, he is getting all TV channels ( that includes the HD ones ), except sports ones,
              Broadband, and telephone line.

he is getting free installation and a skyHD box,

I can see a huge exodus from VM with the offers that sky will offer, to try and take VM customers..

They have only changed the string lengh and the Cccam team will hopefully have a new version of cccam soon.

Although I had heard the cccam and newcs team have packed in.. Anyone else heard that.??

As far as CS goes, how feasible would it be for a couple of forum members getting together and setting up between themselves?

Don't know much about it (haven't needed to so far!) but am not keen on signing up with some random company based in the caribbean!

Think u have to be pretty trusting of someone to do CS . as you would have to give ur address to someone who could well be working for sly.

yep, it makes the screen output too big for non original boxes

In theory, CC cud be a perfect solution, but am not happy about signing up to some unknown website.
