clone dreambox 500c probably your best bet and at this current moment with a bit of learning will open everything on cable

i would suggest a dm600 or dm800hd as you can change the tuner to satellite if the cable encryption changes. this way you dont throw money down the pan

dont forget it isnt just a tuner you need if encryption changes you need to throw a satellite dish in as well and install it

a dm500 cable will cost around ?50 it may last 1 month it may last a year or more i think it will last another 6 month at least

a dm600 will cost around ?110 yes you can change the tuner to a sat one and a sat tuner is around ?20 so you are looking at around ?130 all in

a dm500 sat will cost around ?50 so even if you buy one of each it will still be cheaper

a dm800c will cost around ?200 and a tuner if you need one will be around the same price ?20 but dont forget you will need satellite equipment too not just a change of tuner if cable does disapear
