D500c Evocam issues

Okay I give and need to ask for help . I’ve flashed my 500c with dk_v1.1.img, scanned for the channels and can now watch the FTA channels.

I’ve FTP keys linked off this forum stored on rapid share (dreambox_stuff.rar) to var/keys and var/scce, gone to sky sports1 and started evocam(v2.12) but don’t get any further. I’ve flashed and reflashed my box, deleted the image twice rebooted flashed it again still no joy. I’ve started playing with the settings in mg_cfg in the hopes of getting some useful lead but am finally getting stuck.

Any ideas very welcome. Am I just a dumb newbie needing to read instructions properly or is it something else?

What you have done so far seems fine to me. I would flash a different image such as the Pli Jade 3 image to see if that makes any difference.

What about permissions on the files?

I have tried pli-Jade-dm500-20090627-6494.img but the 2 auto transponders downt find a signal

I ended up setting everything in keys and scce to 777 just in case, is there anywhere else to fiddle with?

Are you using dream up?

Yes to flash the image via null modem, then ftp for the key files.

The Pli Jade image does not have the cables.xml loaded so you have to ftp the file to var/etc folder on your dreambox.
