hi all
trying to fix a friends dreambox 500c that he did a factory reset on.
i have read the stickies and have worked on this type of box before but cant get it to work. after 2 days of trying everything i decided to put a new image on, i chose the dk1.1 and uploaded it to box using dreamup no problem i then copied the contents of the keys folder (linked in one of the stickies) to both the var/keys folder and the var/scce folder but still no joy. the camd.cfg file has the au set to auto already. i read elsewhere that on the dbox which is similar to a dreambox you have to copy over files to the var/bin folder putting them in a cam folder but there is no var/bin/cam folder. the only other thing i could think of is if the cam is turned off like on a starview box and is turned back on in a hidden menu. hope you can help.
