The effectiveness of "Bruteforce" is entirely down to the quality of the information stored in the cables.xml file on your box.
It is not algorithmic, it does not try all frequencies as you might think from it's name.
It is just a list of frequencies & symbol rates to try under the label "Bruteforce UK" in a section of the cables.xml
It can easily miss transponders.
