How to ftp DM key with a mac

I am trying to change the keys on my DM500 using filezilla on my macbook but I cannot seem to get my mac to connect to the DM..... I have followed the instructions in the getting the best from DM500 guide without any joy...... any ideas where I might be going wrong

have you turned off the firewall on your mac or added the DM IP address to the trusted zones in the firewall?

On a side note you should consider using the AU (auto update) roms on your DM then you will not need to input keys every few days etc

No I havn't done that.......

this sounds like the better option...... is there an instructional to follow?

roms are here RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting

FTP the new roms to the /var/scce or /var/keys folder (wherever your current roms are on your box) and overwrite the existing files.

you will need to do a bruteforce scan after and pick uo the transponders..

what version of evocamd are you using,, i use 2.13 but some find that 2.12 or 2.14 works better for them, also some use 2.17....
