Dreambox 500c help

can anyone point me in the right direction to download info on how to get the Dreambox DM 500C up and running. Have tried various suggestions but nothing happening when I plug it into TV. Instructions say it is scanning but nothing happens....help please

Give more info, what image is on your box??, have you tried brutforce scan?

and the box works and picks up all the channels and their programme schedules but only bbc1/2, itv, channel4 and channel5 work, can someone help me please..

You need to FTP the magic files into the proper folders

im almost thinking of starting a new thread. been on the case for 2 evenings and have fell at the last hurdle. ive followed the noobs tuts and have only fta channels. i have v1.1 image evocamd 2.12 and keys dating 1970 !!!
shall i just hit it with a hammer, i would love to !!!
any help appreciated.

i would use a newer version of evocamd mate... try 2.13 some people use 2.18

reflash the image back to your box. I assume you backed up once everything was up and running fine.

If not then go through the procedure you did to get it up and running.

Next time put a lock on the menu to stop the kids doing it again.

im getting a little tired of it now
eurovox is soooo much easier
it seems when it comes to dreambox its just that !!!
its just a dream to get it working

Eurovox and strarview etc are plug and play. If you asked some nicely they might send you an image with everything ready to go. That way it would be flash and plug and play like your used to.

There is more to a dreambox than just viewing channels though.
