DM500 WHERE TO NEXT?

Hey guys I am on c&$us in Kildare ireland with the newest Kaos image last night came home from work and seen that I had list of new channels I have never had before eg mutv. Only problem is when I select these channels I just get black screen and no picture even though signal is perfect only channnel I can get is rte 1. It tells me the channels info but the screen is just black. Is this n3? Or has anyone else in my area had similar problems. Any info on this would be great as I'm pulling my hair out cheers

You said have a list of new channels, Did you perform a scan?

Ye man did a automatic scan and picked up the extra channels just frustrating with a blank screen!!!

Chorxs cable, or mmds?
N3 is more or less rolled out on cable at this stage!!

Press info on remote, then stream info, that will let you know what encryption is being used!!

I think it's cable tom I have a hole in the wall that the wire goes into. I went into stream info and on the 2nd page it says "systems used in service: 1802h: Kudelski SA". Not sure if this helps

if it was mmds, you would have mesh/beak type ariel on roof going to psu, then to dreambox!
If on cable, the game is up! for the foreseable future -I'm sorry to say!!

If no '1800/1801 stream, 'YES' its N3 and the game is up for- Sorry!!

'1802' is N3! Check the stream info on a bunch of chanels.
