Hey all, cbc (caribbean b*sterd corp.) changed all of their frequencies yesterday. Channels went black and StreamInfo shows the SNR as below 70% for all channels. Auto scan did not work. How can I find the new frequencies??????

I realised that the FREQUENCIES were increasing by 12 MHz so I entered 285 with a SYMBOL RATE of 5059 and got Sony, MY9, Discovery Health, Cinemax East, Centric and ABC,

Hi I am wondering if you can help me. I purchased 500c 2 weeks ago. Going to take to Barbados Christmas. Quick advise do I install image in UK and take Barbados or I got tel numbers of programmers in Barb they can do all, if second do you know how much they charge in Barbados to do all necessary stuff so my Granma get all channels. Do you know any programmers for DM500C in Barb you can recommend?

Unfortunately most programmers here are highway robbers. The box with the full setup cost between $550 - $750. Fortunately you can do it all without them. They charge $150 to $200 for the setup, the card alone costs $150 but u don't need it.
I am using the PLi image, which u can load there, Evocamd 2.17b, (it's up to 2.17c) which u can also load. The Frequencies & symbol rates are above. Sorry I can't recommend any programmers but it's all quite simple really. Download Geno's Dreambox Quickstart Guide and it will all be revealed.

Hi to all, im Barbados and im using the Dreambox500c, can anyone tell me if a virus can affect this type of box. As i understand that our cable provider is trying to send viruses to the Dreambox500c.

I never used dream box before I have read a lots of stuff on this forum. If it is possible could you tell me please step by step what I need to do with my box I am in UK now and I want to set up here so when I arrive in Barb I just plug and play .....or I need to do anything in Barb. If you saying is possible to do everything myself Please could you help me. I have purchased new digital areal as well and a Bajan card now you saying I do not need one would the keys will update without card?

Orlando that's a combo of rumor + science fiction. Dreambox is a powerful piece of technology, it is far more than just a cable box. Relax and enjoy piracy as it should be enjoyed.

CBC would have to change all of their boxes and their encryption (scrambling). Picture a comany that won't give a customer a $2.00 credit when ur services aren't delivered as paid for, shelling out millions to change all of their boxes for the second time. NOT gonna happen. Enjoy ya box, b!!!!

What program can I use to reprogram my dreambox DM 500-S/C/t. Where Can I find the program on the internet. How do I find the Ccam on the internet? I press reset to factory settings thinking that I would get it back as it came to me but that was one big mistake. It wipe everything.

Newbie advice

Fryzil google & download Geno's Quickstart dreambox guide. The dreambox 8nt a toy don't mess with the buttons or u can and will turn it into an expensive paperweight. Read the guide and get familiar with ya box. Search this site properly and u will find that ur questions have been answered. U have to put in the effort.

"you were planning to bring over a dream box, the thing is we're not going to be able to use them soon....hope you haven't bought it already. There's various versions going around but it seems they've brought a guy in from the UK and new softwear, so some people say we're going off 1st dec others say middle and someone else says we have 8 months, who knows. It went out last week and we had to get our box reprogrammed so we were without the TV for 4 days as you can imagine how busy the guys were! I know a couple of the other owners were talking about getting them, but it's not a good idea if guest are in and the TV goes because we can't be running around trying to get the boxes reprogrammed, it's different doing it for ourselves as its our loss when we can't get the TV. It's bad enough trying to get CBC out for the guest. Anyway like I said I think we're going to loose it anyway"
