Brand new here and have been scouring the forums for info as I'm thinking of getting a dreambox 500c for use with Virgin cable.
Things i'm not so sure on though:
Is this the right input for connecting the null cable when I need to flash it (the blue one)?
It's on my dell laptop but I have a feeling it's not the right one (think it runs from the gfx card and is for connecting to an external display).
Unfortunately my desktop computer is pretty new so the motherboard doesn't have any input that looks like it would take a null cable (it's an Abit IP35 pro - http://www.hothardware.com/articleim...06/small_5.jpg ). Any way around this for when I need to flash it?
Secondly:
I watched this youtube video ([ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7IOS9Yd4oI]YouTube - DREAMBOX 500C TUTORIAL[/ame]) to get some help....then noticed the user had posted this video: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sN_4SWPlTZ0&feature=fvw]YouTube - N3 THE DAY THE TELLY DIED[/ame] which talked about Virgin using Nagravision 3 (ignore the lameness of the video!).
What does Nagravision mean for those owning a Dreambox? does it prevent access to channels?
Thanks for any help you can offer. I am a keen learner so if you cba to reply with a big explanation then please just point me in the direction of some useful guides etc.
