i use a 240Gb western digital whisper drive in mine, have had no issues at all.. the box saw it and installed it with no issues and the drive is quiet and reliable..

40 gig would do me heard toshiba works ok

maybe but a disk of that size will be second hand and will not last as long.. a new HDD is quite cheap , that 240Gb only cost me ?40 two years ago... A toshiba HDD may work but they are shite, i would not have one as they are not a reliable, rather like their shite laptops..
