    DM500c freezing constantly

Hey guys, I reflashed my box with the digital kaos 1.1 image, got the box working, did a transponder scan for my local area.
I'm on Virgin UK (in a Telewest liverpool area) found all the channels and all working.

The only problem that I am having is the picture is freezing and i'm having to reboot the box to resolve the issue.
A reboot always resolves the problem, it seems to happen on all channels i've tried intermittently.
    Puzzled me.

    Any help much appreciated.

Also can anybody tell me how I can check which version of evocam I am using from the remote control please?

Also i've tested it with the original box that I subscribe with and that's fine.

Could possibly be either too strong a signal or too weak a signal.

For a weak signal try a slx signal booster which can be purchased from argos for circa ?9 - if its no good take it back. I would try this first as some dreamboxes have pretty poor tuners.

Too strong a signal buy an attenuator (variable) and adjust the setting to see where you get peak performance. Fleabay is probably the cheapest place you can get one.

It should tell you on each channel - on the information bar or press info from memory. I think you will find the ber level will go ultra high when it freezes.

You could try another image but its most likely the tuner not the image.

Could try a signal booster in case the signal is weak.
