cables.xml??

Hi,

Hopefully a quick one.. I've now got my openmedia box installed, and am trying to set it up..

Ive tried scanning on the various cable networks, so far Ive not managed to find many channels. I am looking for the correct cables.xml for my area and provider.. I am in Eastleigh, and I think the provider is Virgin Media..

Anyone know where I get the correct cables.xml for this area / provider.

Cables.xml is generic for the full symbol rate,, i.e same one is used throughout the country, it only shows the box the numerous transponders...
you may want 'services & bouquets' for your area,, but really you should make sure you can scan first, or you have a signal issue

You have to convert them before they can be used in the dreambox.

So, I can scan OK, and get quiite a few channels, (about 14 or so) But I think it's by accident. I cannot see any area to set my location with this image. (Neutrino for OpenMedia). The default list of "cable" configurations on the menu (presumably taken from cables.xml), don't seem to tie up with Virgin.. Where would I get a list of services and bouquets for my location... (Eastleigh, Hampshire on Virgin which I think is ex NTL.

I think devilfish has uploaded a current cables.xml file if you use that and do a 'bruteforce scan' you should get all the channels for the uk and than arrange them intoa bouquet of your own with dreamboxedit.
