DM500 cant store any channels?

i have a dreambox 500c
i have installed the dw2.1 image and others for testing.

i have tried to scan the frequencies automatically/brute force and manual input.
the signal level is v good but after pressing the green(scan) button on the remote no channels appear to be stored.
i have tried all the known frequencies in the spectrum but even though that the signal is there. i cant store any channels an non show up when scan is complete.

does it pick up channels/transponders while scanning?

it does not pick up any channels even though the signal is good and the frequency, symbol rate etc are correct.
ive tried all known frq's
