mmds in cork

i am looking to buy a box to to use on mmds i heard the 500t hits a problem on 266 mhz anybody got sugestions

Yes the 500T can suffer from tuner weakness around the 260-290Mhz range.
It depends on the type of Philips tuner in them.
Some are better than others,some have no weakness.
Its hit and miss really.
Alternatives are 600T,Box T and Eurovox TX,all have no weakspots.
Alternatively you could use a downconverter with a lower IF which shifts the frequencies up to avoid the 260-290Mhz range.

I've a 500t working no probs in cork and know many others aswell that never had tuner problems.

At what point does the down converting occur at ?
All of my wall plates are Triplexed ( Triplexed Outlet)

according to that it only covers "TV Freq. MHz 270-862"

Thats fine,the downconverter is in the middle of the grid.
It has to be there as a signal of 2.5Ghz wont travel very far down standard coax cable without huge loss.

But where does the 266Mhz come into play ?

my wall plate won't out-put that freq... So if my box is looking for a freq below 270mhz.. it wont be there
