Is there any reason you are not using the ethernet (network) port? That would be much easier and quicker.

maybe you could try the telnet option [in the stickys]
if you can ftp to your box
nothing to lose if it goes tits up , till you sort out dreamup

Hi Guys,
loaded and booted up the dreambox to get the ip to use ftp, worked no problem can see all files. The image which is on the dreambox is the gemini project? how do I change this to use digital kaos v_1, sorry for my newbie dumbness!

Got the cams and ftp'ed the keys and scce files but how do you press blue on the encrypted channel if its not listed?

reboot the box first
what cams have you got
realy you need evocamd ,put it on a encypted channel via all services red button
ive not got a dm500 any more or gemini
so i think you press the blue button highlight the cam you want to use then it should say start restart cam or something
then wait a couple of minutes

right so nearly there, is it evocamd 2.17 and say one of the movies channels..press blue start this cam and wait a while, also just to make sure the keys and scce folders were ok just to drop in the var Dir or do they need to be pasted into another folder?

evocamd 2.17 works for some and not for others
yes so do what you said on a movie or sports channel and restart cam and wait a few minutes and see if it kicks in
