800 new start up

Just got meself 800hd plugged it all in and is booting and telling me to wait how long should i be waiting as its been 15 mins

its got Gemini onboard

ok took it one step further ans tried to flash bonesey ready made image and now have message on from 'error no ca found' i did all this using the IE method . Now have tried again to do a fresh reflash using dreamup and am getting message 'box in serial HTTP mode'

am in a real mess here

You flashed Bonesy's and now it looks like you need Bonesy's fix.

Yes i found this last night but i am now thinking this isnt my problem

when i pwer up box using dream up it is saying box in serial http mode on dreamup and on box display it is showing 192.168.1.12 serial mode
i have never seen an error message saying no ca found second stage loader, i had just no ca found and this is when i boot box

THe eorr your getting is the box forcing into flash mode.
When you turn on the box, do not hold in the power button.
If your not holding in the power button yourself, could the button be jammed??

i have given the button and side of box some taps hoping it will release

it still hasnt done any good

THen may be problem with your reciever board behind the front panel. open the unit and check that small board

I don't have a dm800 so can't comment too much but I thought you could use telnet and web interface method to flash your dm800 similar to the dm600.

yes i thought similar but it wont connect that way just hangs up, says on screen of box ip 192.168.1.12 this wont work or other number i rememmber from past

i now have the second boot loader error message in dreamup and am frighhten to touch it so what do i do now bonesy

When your box was in serial mode as above with dreamup you should be able to access the web page to flash by typing in 192.168.1.12 you would then flash over a bootloader and should now boot.

also when i got it to finally show second boot loader error i change it to the dreamup patched to do fix and it has never shown error since just keps booting into serial mode

ok had some developent here, am now able to get the dream up running but is showiing bootloader second stage error, have tried a couple of these fixes but am getting file too big when i try to load flash

should i be loading a bootloader file first then image

any help please
