dreambox 500c volume

hi there i have another question about the dreambox 500c
my dad has a 50 inch plasma with the dreambox and at the momment he has to have the volume on the drembox on 100 and his plasma on 40 and it sounds a bit distorted is there any other way he can do this and have a good sound.

this 'issue' exists with the 600 as well.. it something you grow to live with once you have got the volume each one worked out.. I understand it was usually the cas ethat you set the TV volume at about 30% and then just adjusted you dm volume as and when you need more or less volume for each prog or during the annoying high volume adverts.... Also if i remeber rightly having a high spec scart lead makes no real difference, am not sure if the optical audio (toslink) signal gets you round this, come to think of it I am unsure if the 500 even has one of those, i know the 600 does...
