Here is the latest version of the plugin. Its more stable and the recording works without crashing the box.
You must have your channels is a bouqute and the box must have internet access with a valid DNS (Name Server) entry on the Communications tab.

The epg is one thing that needs work on me DM600. That and the sound output, it keeps SHOUTING at me......

This is a great plugin, but is there anyway you can make it a multi view epg simliar to $kys?

This epg problem is the only thing i find annoying about the dreambox surely it cant be that hard to make a nice interface similar to $kys.

EPG Evolution

This is a plugin to dreambox with enigma1 for advanced epg functions. Instead of using the DVB EPG it downloads the EPG from a webserver giving you a alternative source for EPG.
The benefit is 7 days EPG, a easy overviewed gui and alot of smart functions one button away...


Installation:
Copy extepg.so and extepg.cfg to the plugin dir on your dreambox (/var/tuxbox/plugins/)
If you have a DM500 copy the remote.xml to /var/etc/epg/ to use < and > instead of the Bouquet buttons

To make the plugin start with the red button instead of the normal epg press red button(epg) twice and select External EPG.



k e y funtions in list view

Exit Quit the program
OK Change to description mode on the selected item
Arrow down Step one item down in the list
Arrow up Step one item up in the list
Arrow left Step five items up in the list
Arrow right Step five items down in the list
Bouquet+ Change the channel that are listed to next in the same bouquet
Bouquet- Change the channel that are listed to prev in the same bouquet
Blue Add/Remove the marked program to the recording mode
0 Change channel to the listed one (the small tvscreen also change)
9 Search for repeat on the marked program
1-7 Change day listed where 1 is current and 2 is tomorrow and so one to 7,press odd(1,3,5..) for time from midnight even(2,4,6..) for current time

OK Back to the list view
Arrow down Next page if there is more then one page
Arrow up Prev page if there is more then one page
Arrow left Change program description to the prev on the list
Arrow right Change program description to the next on the list

Exit Abort recording and get back to list view
Green Confirm recording
Red Abort recording and get back to list view
Arrow down Change between stop and start time
Arrow up Change between stop and start time
Arrow left Decrease the marked time with 1 min
Arrow right Increase the marked time with 1 min

I am trying to get and EPG with at least todays programs showing on an DM500S running DK1.1
Tried Evolution, but get "Channel not found in bouquet"
Is there a fix to this or another solution?
