new setup on dm800

Hi Guys , newbie here with whats probably a daft question thats no doubt been answered many times before (just that i cant seem to find the answer) sorry ,
I have just got myself a dm800 clone , fitted a cable tuner and tried scanning for channels , no luck ! Can anybody tell me what i need to flash to box if anything ? as all its got on it at mo is factory installed gemini image , do i need anything else ?
I`m a starview guy previously , hence not clued up on dreambox stuff ,i have read the stickys but cant see anythin on new setup topic

No that should be okay, make sure your tuner is in correctly and that the cable is connected correct, then go to service searching and scan away..

Cheers for your help sss , scanning fails "try to find used transponders in cable network" any ideas mate
do i not need a cable image or working keys ? also wizard says
"there are no default service lists in your image"
any help appreciated

Hi And thanks dctyper , had already followed that particular thread ,and tried suggestions however still no joy , think i may need new image ? any body recommend a working cable clonesafe image

managed to get cable tuner working , took it out and re fitted it , my next problem is i cant view encrypted channels , scan picked them up ok , but wont display , only displaying fta chanels , anybody point me in the right direction please ,

You need to correct roms and keys for this to work for you

you cold try my image which is on forums here..do search. has roms, keys, all files in it already, just flash ,select oyur town for scanning and scan...job done.

be very careful mate i was having issue and decided to load bonesy file and have a knackered box at moment its not his image but some boxes are not accepting bootloader 72

Is there a link to this image? The one linked above takes me to another query thread.

I am running a 70 image at the moment. Does that mean that the 72 won't work with my box? Can I not just flash a different boot thingy?

As stated in the other thread, check DVBSELLERS listing it should say Max BL possible.

cheers mate ,i now too have a knackered box ,should have checked this thread beforehand , is there a fix ?
