    ignore all the above my head was just spinning yesterday.
    10 mins today and everything is fine.

    just one question though... whats the best program to back this image up to .nfi?
    i dont want to risk installing mrdudes backup plugin, as i have heard it no longer works with the newer pli images.

        after ftping my keys folder across i went into the menu setup on the dreambox and found backup and restore. enter on restore then press blue which is reload enigma.
        you also have to set evocamd as default cam using blue button/softcam setup.

            Many thanks for the post.

            I have run the script successfully. What is the command line to restore from the nfi image stored on the HD ?

            Many thanks in advance.

                Many thanks,

                I'm trying to get away from using Dreamup on the 600c as it takes so long. I've succesfully been using telnet to restore images on the 500c using the following command:

                cd /tmp && eraseall /dev/mtd/3 && cp backup.img /dev/mtd/3 && reboot

                This same command doesn't seem to work on the 600C even after I've modified the path of the .nfi image.

                Any help would be appreciated.

                  try using dreamup with the null modem cable and the crossover/network cable both connected ,tick network add your ip then flash ,this should by rights do it in a few minutes hopefully
                  this should work

                    The Dm600 is different when it comes to flashing with the telnet try this from fellow member kagon;

                    The "telnet option" is indeed as simple as logging via telnet and:

                    Code:
                    mount -o remount,rw /boot
                    rm -f /boot/*
                    reboot

                    Open up your browser and type in the ip address of your dreambox and than point to where you have the image stored.
                    Before you do this you must:

                    Make sure you have a reasonable way to pick up the Dreambox via DHCP once you've nuked the image
                    Have an NFI image to flash
                    Have a machine to connect to the Dreambox web interface with that can see the Dreambox over the network (this is where you'll flash from)
