    unable to flash

    dreambox 500c when switched on it just shows a black screen, it does'nt even show the digitalkoas bootup screen. the remote does not seem to do anything either, front panel green light on and also wont switch off from button on front panel. Connected null and crossover lead but does not seem to connect tried dreamup and dream control center both with no affect.

      try connecting it to you computer using flash fxp that is if you know ur dbox ip address
      use the corssover cable

          tried that also, when cable connected to box its not picking it up for some reason (like the box is not there). when you switch it on it used to bring uo the digitalkaos logo but now its just a black screen wont switch off either unless switched off from the mains. If you look through the top cover theres a amber light that comes on sometimes when I plug it in.

              connect using null modem cable only on com port 1 and use dream up software to flash your image. will take about 15 mins but should solve your problem

                  had same problem and had to jtag and now up and running again read how to jag post it tells you how to make the jtag cable and you can download all you need in downloads hope this helps if you need any help pm me

                      the box is not being recognised by the pc as if the box is switched off by either dreamup or DCC using both null and crossover cables. I had installed digitalkaos image a few months ago and was working fine. i come back from holiday the other day ansd the person whos box it is told me it just went off. when you switch it on you are supposed to get a the boot up image on this there is nothing just a black screen and the remote isnt working either (checked remote and is working) it could be bricked but I dont know how that happened.

                          just moved mine to the side not even an inch and it done the same as yours jtag fixed it read the post i sent u any other problems pm me but read the post from page 1 to the last every thing they say in the post works ignore the jumpers bit anything else you need to know pm me
