working cam dm800c

hi , can any one help me please , got nabiloblackhole flashed , put up to date keys roms in folders , got 3 cams installed mgcam , evo + cccam. still not seeing any encrypted channels , only fta , please can somebody advise me were im going wrong , thanks

I had a nightmare of a time sorting this out yesterday. I still can't be sure I have cracked it. I have a 500c as well so I copied the "keys" folder to my desktop from it. I then created an "scce" folder. I wasn't sure exactly what files went into the "scce" folder and which went into the "keys" folder so i just copied all of them and had them all in both folders (Although I think the bin files all go into scce & the rest into keys).

For everyones info, the "scce" folder and the "keys" folder on the DM500c seem to be one and the same. There is no "scce" folder as such, only an "scce" shortcut which then takes you into the "keys" folder. People write to copy both over quite a lot and this has confused me, I'm not sure if they know what they are talking about or whether they are just copying what someone else has said in the past. Seems like another "beginners guide to everything" might be in order .

None of the "dreambox files" downloads worked for me, I had to use my own.

No doubt someone will be along in a bit to say to use the search function. Doing a search that is all you seem to find, people with the same issue and the response being "use the search". Doesn't make for being much help.

I can send you my working files if you like, I wouldn't be 100% sure on them working though.

Hi Scot , thanks for reply mate , and i know what your saying about help or lack of it , ive searched for hours on end , and going round in circles , end up reading the same thread over again , not that much info out there for dm800 cable .
Anyhow , i would be grateful if you could send me your working keys , and which folder to ftp them to would be good . many thanks

You know if you install mgcamd and are not bothered about au then its dead easy.

Just make your self a softcam.key folder and put your proivders keys in it.

So open notepad, find the latest keys for your area and put them in notepad like this

N 5A01 00 ***************
N 5A01 01 ***************

N 5B01 00 ***************
N 5A01 01 ***************

Save file and call it softcam.key

Put it in /var/keys

Make sure you have mgcfg in /var/keys and check that it is setup correctly and that it is looking for keys in /var/keys and not tmp.

Start mgcamd and hey presto all clear,
