    wat image will work on dm600 and dream up

    hey guys i need to flash my clone dm600 box with dreamup as i messed it up flashing it the wrong way. i read up in the stickies that you need a img to use with dream up. as the only image i have found on the site for the dm600 is the pli-jade3-dm600pvr.nfi but its a img file.
    will i not be able to use this with dreamup? if not wat images can i use with dreamup and dm600?

    Why not go to the Pli images web site and download direct their dm600 image? If your box is messed up then this will be a good time to mess about with your box and learn some stuff at the same time. The dm600 and higher boxes are all images with .nfi extensions.

              If your box is connected to the router than you don't need a null modem cable as you can use the telnet method for flashing your box.

                  On your pc do Start > Run > type in telnet 192.168.x.xxx ip address of your dreambox

                  1. In the telnet window, type the following, pressing <return> at the end of each line.

                  mount /boot -o remount,rw
                  rm /boot/*
                  reboot

                  2. You should now get a message saying that the Dreambox is rebooting.

                  3. Wait a few seconds and then run Explorer (Firefox or whatever) and enter the ip address of the Dreambox in the address bar. If you cannot connect to your dreambox than check the ip address of your dreambox in your router in case it has changed and type that ip address into your browser.

                  4. On the screen that appears, choose the 'Upgrade firmware' option, find the .nfi file and click the 'Flash' button.

                  5. Once the progress bar reaches 100%, reboot the box

                            I am not sure if this will work but no harm in trying from your pc do;

                            Start > Run > cmd and you should see a black window appear.

                            In the window type net view and hopefully you should see something like dm600 or dreambox.
                            then again in the window type ping xxxxxxxx where x= the name of your dreambox. It should return the ip address of your dreambox.
