how do i make a image backup

hi folks could someone please help me i would like to make a backup image after i have added some files to it so i can reflash my box without having to re add them thanks for any help

i have done this as well

cat /dev/mtd/3 > /tmp/backup.img

but the image is still the same as before

for 500c you can make a backup flashwizard pro or dreamup there is also telnet method i will go for the first two 7025 is little complicated if you got harddisk you can save your image there

Hi just use dreamup

there is 2 different verions of flash wizard pro in downloads

1 is for the 500c Digital Kaos - Downloads - FlashWizard Pro 6.3

the other will do the other DMs Digital Kaos - Downloads - Flashwizard Pro 6.4 b3v
500s plus
600pvr
800s - HD
7000s
7020s
7025s

you will need to set the IP address , in setup/advanced setup/communication
to within a few numbers away from the IP of you PC.

Hi just use dreamup

dream up just gives the same backup before adding any files strange
