Dreambox 500c help

Hi Guys
Picked up dm500c at local carboot this week chap who I bought it from said it needed new flash ,I connect and did brute force search ,it came up with loads of channels but only few opened fta. I went into setup on screen shows www digitalworld2.co.uk version 1.6 april 2007,Ive bought null
cable but dont know any thing about receiver done lots of reading but its seems a minefield at the moment ,please can you guys clear a path threw

read through the stickies here m8, take your time, it will all become clear .

you need to flash a new image, and i would suggest the DK one, once thats done you need to do the auto update, which is explained in the stickies
