NTL MMDS

Hi all,
I have a DM500C on NTL MMDS Ireland. I have EVOCAMD active and I have what I thought was the correct keylist.txt. I did update the 5401 key which I found on the TCB toolbar. However still no luck. This leads me to think that the 5401 is for NTL cable and NTL MMDS uses a different key. Can someone please confirm what key NTL MMDS uses and point me in the direction of a current keylist.txt for Evocamd or softcam.key for mgcamd. I really would appreciate any help as I cannot understand why I cannot open even RTE2. I can see RTE1 but that is freeview anyway

I think ntl mmds has gone nagra3 so you wont get much but you might get some channels if you use ire fix mgcamd.

Thanks, have searched around for N2 fix and have downloaded three hypercam files that go into /var/bin. Is this the fix and do you know what these files do. Thanks again

There is no fix for N3 at moment most if not all of ireland is N3 now

Hi Fintannl,
I had same prob last night . see my post "more channels gone ireland - help "
Im running DK image with hypercmd v1.06. on dublin cable network
i had to power off and reboot the dm500c and manually start hypercmd using tuxbox ( yellow key on remote) the missing channels came back eventually... i seems there might have been a keyroll yesterday morning.

RTE2 UTV etc are now back and running again.

by the way mini not all channels in ireland are gone to N3. there are still a few that are listed using 1801h and 1802h in the stream information.

only channels listed with 1802h only are gone .. i.e n3

Thanks for all the help guys. The reason I ask about MMDS Ireland NThell is because I am currently trying to set a friend up on this system using a DM500C. I have a Gemini image, have loaded all updated ROM files, have keys setup I think correctly and have both MGCAMD and EVOCAMD loaded. Yet I get no joy. As far as I'm concerned I have the system setup exactly the same way as my own (which is on Corus MMDS and works just peachy) othere than obviously I have to use cables.xml rather than terrestrial.xml. Is there something glaring I am missing. Why would I need a hypercam fix when I am using MGCAMD/EVOCAMD. I know I am close. Am I using the wrong keys. They are the ones on the TCB toolbar so I figure they must be ok. I'm close but no cigar at the moment

if you have a DM500C box this will not work with mmds you need a DM500t box

The 500C works with NTL MMDS, the 500T works with Chorus MMDS

a DM500C is for cable and the DM500t is for terrestriel ie mmds no mather what part of the country your in .
