Hello

I've been fiddling around trying to get this working for a while now, tried various images, and cams etc.

The only cam that I can get to work is the mgcamd one, but, for some reason the DW2.0 and 2.1 images won't see it in the cam list when I manually install, (When I finally found one in the right format for it) When I try to update from the internet, it says that DW aren't allowing downloads anymore, so I tried a different image file. Downloaded and installed the mgcamd fine, but now, it won't let me find any transponders or services when I try the scans.

Whereas the DW images would let me do a brute force scan and find everything straight away, just not work without the cam

Anybody got any ideas on how to fix this? I'm thinking :-

A : Have an mgcamd tbz2 file that will install fine and show up, I've been looking around for ages, and found millions in various filetypes, but none seem to work.

B : Tell me how I can do a brute force transponder scan, or give me details of another image that will let me do a BF scan. I've tried Gemini, Pli, and a couple others.

C : Anyone know of any other urls I can put into the internet options to check for updates for things that will allow me to keep DW2.1 and update it easily.

I'm not familiar with updating over the net. I'm sure one of the guys will help you out there.

Why don't you pop over to the introductions section and read the stickies, introduce yourself and then have a nose about. You might want to try the DKv1 image the link is in the stickies.

Try the Digital Kaos V1 image. It has full UK scanning settings including bruteforce. It also has a fully working addons server where you can download emu, plugins, games, etc. direct from the box (as long as your dreambox is connected to your router).
