    sky one missing problem solved

I had this problem on my 500 bought an attenuator which did no good so was living without the channel which is no hardship but i recently upgraded to a DM800 and hey i now have it back . This kinda leads me to a poor tuner on the 500

    Just a passing thought guys

Was it a fixed attenuator or a variable attenuator?

Empirical results have shown me that fixed attenuators are pretty useless on Virgin Cable until you know which one to get for your line.

Get the wrong one and there is no improvement and in some cases you'll just make things worse.

I second that, I used to have trouble with Setanta and a few other channels, bought a 6db attenuator as recommended by someone on these forums, but that made almost every channel completely unwatchable. I bought a variable one and never had any problems with any channels since.
