My god... haha I would just like to thankyou... so so so much. I was starting to wonder if there was something to be put in that folder but was to scared to try it myself... thankyou very much indeed. A little bit pre-empted these celebrations as I havent checked all channels but sky sports 1 just popped on... YAHOOO... if theres anywhere to donate to keep this forum going please point me in the correct direction

I've written up a complete dummies guide. While Im sure theres plenty floating about Im just going through the process of making screens for what they have to do... fool proof.

the only thing I have noticed though, is that for some reason Im missing around 60 channels from the service...

Also, is there any way of using the on demand service? yes sadly we're suckers for WWE and the majority of main events are now PPV On Demand Events... oh and so are the slightly risky late night channels if you get what Im saying
Was going to buy a signal booster today but the channels missing seem to be in groups in terms of there #. Does anyone have any other advice for me?

Also... does anyone have reccomendations for a signal booster or doesnt it really matter...

You wont get ondemand movies,the wrestling etc yes,they are listed under 'ppv events' or 'sbo ppv2',the pron just look for the listings that end in 'pin'.
As for the missing channels edit your services or convert dbox services dependant on image.

ok... wouldnt really know about editing.. will have to read up somewhere on this forum. Im using the wonderful Digital Kaos Img v1 EDIT* Don't seem to have any listings ending in PIN

Missing channels is 99% always down to the signal strength. Check the SNR %, should be about 96%, any lower and you will miss channels. Try removing any splitters and put the box on the main feed on it's own and do another scan. If you get all the channels back, you know it's a signal problem, you can connect your splitter back in and go and buy a signal booster.

Will get a signal booster in an hr or so and let you all know how it goes. any recomendations? and is it a certain specific type? (will prolly be going to argos) or any extras I will need to have the signal booster working fine...

i had a philips one fom argos that worked fine for me m8, mind you that was a few years ago.

just remember you will need normal arial connectors to go into the booster

The channel listing is split up into transponders, each transponder has its own frequency and you probably get about 10 channels on each transponder. The signal coming from each transponder varies in strength, thats why you get some channels and not others.

I did it.... all channels, all amazing and going good.

sooo you ask what was the problem? well I forgot to mention I was using a splitter and well... after buying a signal booster, cables and converters for said cables I plugged it all in, booted up and still no channels.

I then lifted the splitter and sky sports 2 came up... ''ooooh I wonder if theres something up with the splitter?' I then asked myself... I then preceded to tighten up the cables on the splitter and presto all channels... lesson learnt!

I will post a complete dummies guide based on my experiences in the coming days before I head off on tour... I would like to say a BIG thank you to everyone that was so generous with there time and patience. Now I'm off to watch the 2nd half of Ole's testimonial...

hey hey. Ive been reading the guide to stream over the internet and Im pretty sure Im doing a host of things wrong... I just dont understand the terminologies... and one last thing. I seem to have set the record function up fine apart from one thing which is preventing me from recording... I have set up the folder I want to share in a external drive... anyhow. On the guide it says to set up in hdd/movie but when I go into hdd there is no movie extension... help?

how do I install or even find bouqets to the system... is there an option in the dkv1 img to do this from the box?
