    DM600c Remote Problems

I have a new DM600C which I believe is not a clone. I'm running the Gemini 4.6 image and everything was working fine until last night. I set up the remote to operate my TV (a Philips unit) but did it wrong a couple of times before I figured it out. Basically, the problem is now that the remote will operate the TV perfectly but it is no longer working with the dreambox. The DREAM button on the remote illuminates when I press a button but the light on the dreambox no longer flashes and the dreambox does not respond.

I've tried the usual stuff... rebooted a few times, replaced the batteries, checked that the ir was transmitting with a mobile phone camera (It is). I've even reflashed the box to make sure it wasn't a software thing. But still no luck.

The web interface still appears to be working (albeit slowly) so the box definitely hasn't crashed.

Does anyone have any idea what else I can try? Is it possible that I have mistakenly reprogrammed the DREAM part of the remote as well as the TV part of the remote? If so, does anyone know what the 4-digit code is for the dreambox?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Not sure about the remote you describe but it does sound as though you have inadvertantly programmed the Dream Box side of the remote too.Usually there is a way of re-setting the remote to factory defaults, either by pressing a tiny recessed button with a pin,or some will revert to default settings if you leave the batteries out for a few hours.Sorry i can't be of any more help but hopefully one of the suggestions may work for you.

Ha fixed it, took the dreambox apart and re-soldered the connections on the IR module. Not a remote problem after all.
