    DM500 Help With Image

    I just flashed my box with the following steps

    Copy DK 1.0 to my tmp directory
    Menu > System > Expert Setup > SOftware Update > Manual

    This flashed it

    It now boots to the DK boot screen but immediately reboots itself goes back to that screen and so on. When the boot screen appears it is online for around 5 seconds and goes off so I do not have enough time to telnet and erase the flash. I can ftp to it thought and can probably manage to copy a file over or delete files.

    Any suggestions?

      youve killed it m8, you will have to but a new box, more money to spend, ............................................

      you will have to flash it with dreamup, you will need a seriel port on your PC and a null modem cable. and dont select flash erase.

          If you are going to flash it via the Software Update menu you need to rename the image to root.cramfs before selecting OK. I've never done it this way before it might not like it if you're flashing a full image, this might be only for read-only section of the image.

          Dreamup and a null modem cable are your best friends now.
