DM500 hello

I`m new on this forum.
And i have a question.
I have a problem with my 500c
i cant conect with my dm500c to my computer i have a rs232 cable and i now how to make contact to my dm500 (found on the internet) first i start up dreamup with now network connection.
than i put the power cable to the dm500c but than i have now connetion with my 500c.
What do i rong ????? do i need another cable and what kind of cable ????
is there a sceme to mak sutch cable p[lease please please help me

You need a null modem cable which is similar to the rs232 cable but not the same and you need a program called Dreamup to flash firmware to your box.

Agree with CURIOUS123 but be careful where you get the cable.
I had the same problem. Got a cable that works every time from Misco on-line (part number 154505, costs ?4 plus carriage).
