DM800 HD PVR what level boot loader?

I have been given an old DM800 HD PVR it is a sim2.01 which I have changed the tuner from sat to cable.
I want to check what the level the booatloader is before changing the image.

I have tried telnet ipkg list but there is no ipkg command. opkg list gives screen fulls of details about the ipk files. I have also tried switching on with the power switch pressed in. When stop appears there are no details about the bootloader level. I would also like advice on what latest image I should upgrade to.

This version of DM800HD OpenPLi 6 image will have compatibility issue with newer remote controller.
worked with original DM800 and DM8000 controllers
