you may need to try a booster as they have weak tuners. Or you can try connecting the box tthe cable connection coming direct from outside without any splitters.

Which channels are missing? Also, what scan did you do - was it a brute force?

An automatic scan is only as good as the cables.xml file included in your image.

Brute Force is not an exhaustive algorithmic scan as it sounds. It is just a list of frequencies & symbol rates. If a frequency/symbol rate pair is missing from the bruteforce section of your cables.xml you will never find the channels on that transponder.

What you can do is add all your favourite channels into bouquets. These are permanent record of channels you have found. Once you have done that you can try a network scan. This uses information contained in the over-air transmission to find more channels.

On Enigma based images (such as DK1.1) you go to a working channel and press:

        Menu->Setup->Service Searching->Manual Transponder Scan

Select the "network search" option and then press green (start scan) and sit back.

All Enigma based images I've used have a few bugs in them WRT scanning on UK cable networks because VM are a closed network and do not 100% follow the specs.

Following a network search it makes sense to look at the top of the "all channels" list and select any strange named channels (perhaps named SID 0x958 or similar). Leave it on that channel for a few minutes (even if they are blank) then opening the all services list once more and one by one they will be correctly identified as TV channels.

If after a search a channel you used to have has been lost, go the the bouquet entry. It will be listed as (service removed). Select it and within a few minutes of being on that channel the software will read the network information for that transponder and find all the channels on that transponder and update the "all services" list.

Once finished check your "all channels" list against the VM list of all channels to make sure you're not missing any.

Using a mixture of manual transponder scan with "network search" and bouquets I am able to maintain a full list of all channels.

hello, the channels that i have are in the main, the old terrestrial channels. i am very close to the cabiner and therefore think that the signal if anything would be on the high side rather than low, suppose i could attenuate it down (worth a go). the scan i did was by selecting area's that mine could be... warrington, liverpool, manchester, all appear to have the same issue but the frequency plans does seem to be a valid point. many thanks for the quick reply's, i am going to try what Alexh suggests (will take time to read a few times, haha). thanks again, will let you know how i get on.

When you say ftp'ed the images, do you mean put the image on with dreamup and ftp'ed the keys?

I have just updated my EuroVox Ultra with the DK v 1.1 image and I can only see the normal channels aswell. But I have the listing for all the channels but the ones I cant view have a key next to them.I ftp'd the keys and scce files to their proper folders(I think).I read a tutorial and in it on one of the images it shows the files being ftp'd into /var_init/ but when I use flashFXP i cannot transfer files to her I have to put them in /var/ (without the init)Any help please.

What area are you in m8 ? If your in Leeds they have gone and theres no fix. Not now and not in the foreseable future.

                  THE TRUTH
                  The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.
