    500c from c to s

    hi all ... thinking of changing my 500c to an 500s ... is it as streight forward as just swopping the tuners and reflashing the box or is more involved ? any help would be great

      you cant change the tuners on a dm500 i dont think m8
      dm800-s=1.1 m triax motorised dish=titanium twin lnb

          the tuner itself just does a straight swop but im not sure on the software side of things

                  If you want to change it, your best just buying a new mobo for it with Satellite Tuner.

                  A few on-line stores sell just the mobo for a DM500 pretty cheap.

                              Sorry, I am not aware of a UK supplier of mainboards for a 500, maybe a google will find one?

                              I have noticed complete mainboards for sale on various sites, never bought just a mainboard though, but bought 2 500s boxes from a supplier in china with no probs, and noticed they also supply just mainboards.

                              Also, after googling, some stores claim plugable tuners for some 500 clones, but not convinced.
