Nagra1 to nagra2

Hi There,

since today my cable provider has changed the entcryption system. Reading in the different forums is sounds like they have changed from Nagra1 to Nagra2.

Question: How can I check this and how can the keys be changed..Thxs

If your cable provider has upgraded their encryption , then it will be to nagra 3 , in which case you cant input keys , as nagra 3 has not been cracked

I have understood that they have not update to NAGRA3 yet. They were on NAGRA1 and now moved to NAGRA2 . Not sure why.

With dreambox 500, select the channel that is not clearing.
Then on remote select 'Menu - Information - stream info.
Press right arrow button to show encryption info:
1800 = Nagra 1
1801 = Nagra 2
1802 = Nagra 3.

this should give you the info you need!
