    Non clearing of channels - Ireland

    Hi there, setup a dreambox 500 for a friend. Installed evocamd as seems recommended for the cam, and copied the contents of the rar file posted here (dreambox_stuff) to the appropriate folders /var/keys /var/scce.

    Unfortunatly when he goes to open any channels none will clear. Do I need more files other than the ones in that download? I noticed when ftp'n over keylist.txt was empty woud this be the issue? I assumed if one left it on say sly sports 1 for a few minutes the keys would update and this file would gain entries.

    I have used sat dreambox for many years but just wondering if I am missing something simple for this.

    Any help appreciated.

      Has the cam been selected/activated?
      Checkout the RED stickies massive amount of info and effort been put into them.

          Yup, it is set as the default cam. I even got him to verify it was selected and to restart etc. I got him to change to SS1 after he scanned the channels, left it for a few minutes then told him to try another channel and no joy.

          Read a post a while ago saying change to ss1, shutdown fully, turn back on and change to ss2 for a few seconds then back to ss1. Wil try get him to do that. Not being at the box makes things so awkward

              i know this may sound stupid but i did it
              when i transfered the files i transfered them the wrong way
              (box to computer not computer to box)
              everything seemed ok till i tried to open a channal
              then i figured out my mistake
              hope this helps

                  Did you overwrite the keys/ssce folders or did you open them on the dreambox side and move them in then?You could have a double folder e.g. keys/keys and ssce/ssce.
                  Try to delete the existing folders on the dreambox and do a fresh transfer over and allow to clear then.hope you can follow that.
                  In short you could have put a keys folder into another keys folder and the box wont recognise it, same with ssce folder.....it happens.

                      Went to the4 box in the end. Installed evocamd 2.12 instead of 2.13 and all worked fine which was odd, maybe 2.3 didnt install correctlly.
