Inserting Keys...

Hi all and sorry for the newb question.
I just got my first dreambox and after using devilfish's thread i have managed to flash it successfully.only thing is now i can only get FTA channels. i've had a look through the forums and found a raidsh*re link that i've now d/loaded. Thing is i cant seem to find out if you can put the keys in using a null modem cable (aint got a crossover ethernet cable). any help much appreciated.

You will need a crossover cable to ftp the keys across. I dont think theres any other way...but I could be wrong.

you need a crossover cable to be able to transfer the files across.

or you could ftp them across on a wireless network.

you will need to set the ip on your box , so that your network can see it.

Aftermath,how easy is it to ftp them over? what settings do i need and how do i set the ip on the box so that my wireless network can see them?

ok,so ive been thru the tut and im still havin probs. i've connected the box,transferes the new keys and scce folders and im still only getting FTA channels. any help anyone?!

You need to install Evocamd 2.13 and turn to S*y Sports until it clears if you have not done so already.

is it a 500 or a 600 you got.

500 should have evocamd 2.12 already on it, or use remote control to download it direct to your box, think its blue button, might be yellow, forgot now.
600 you can download evocamd 2.14 from remote, think its blue button/downloads/cams

if you got a 500, look for option reset channels on remote control, and reboot box.
leave on S*y Sp0rts for a minute , see if it clears.
Failing this , do a re scan , use the bruteforce option , and make sure the FTA only box is not ticked.

Thanks for the help so far guys but im still no further on.
Im using a 500c and up to now i have:-
Used DreamUp to flash the digital kaos image to the box-worked fine.
Then i did a bruteforce scan and that found loads of channels but i can only watch FTA channels.
So then i connected the box to my pc (ethernet,through my modem) and using flashxp i inserted the files from inside the keys folder i d/loaded (from the d/load section) into the keys folder on the box and the same with the scce folder.Everything seemed to work as it should(following the tut at the top of the page) but still no channels!.
Tried rebooting the box,resetting channels,leaving it on sk*sports 1 ect but nothing.
HELP

*Edit*- Just found the settings in the menu to d/load evocamd.D/loaded version 2.12 and still no ppv channels.
*Editing the Edit*-Just having a mooch around and i found this at the bottom of devilfish's guide..........
Hold INFO for more than 3 secs to bring up EMU manager, press OK.
