    LAN Conector broken on 500c

All I dont expect everyone to know this off by hand but if the LAN connector of a 500c has broken (Which mine has...!!!) is it possible to upload the new S/W onto it via 9-way D-type connector... In the Digitalworldz days it was possible to just load it on via dreamUP but now we need to add the extra stuff via the LAN.... I have access to another Box that works fine so is it possible to copy the config / Sw and load it onto the new box...

get the working image backup and flash as is direct on the the faulty box, i'm sure there's a way just using the COM port - if you end up using dreamup, make sure you untick 'Flash Erase?' so it leaves the additional stuff on

I tried using Dreamup to backup the img and then used this copy to flash to the broken box but it did not work all the stuff was still missing... is there some other software that could be used instead of DreamUp...

Use dreamup and nulll modem cable to make back of perfect box.
Then use dreamup to flash to box with none workng lan port, be sure to untick network box in dreamup.
        Setup: 2x Dreambox 800HD | 3x Dm500S on Motorised dish Setup
