    DVB-S to DVB-C

Greetings to you all. Thinking of investing in a DM800. I have a cable connection and i'm led to believe most if not all boxes come with a DVB-S tuner installed. Now, is it a simple case of unplugging the tuner and plug in the (additional)cable tuner? Or do i have to open up the unit then solder etc. Does the authentic box differ from the clones in this way?

    Thanks

    Tuner

    Hya Roundhead,

I recently had a problem with a 800hd, whch turned out to be a clone, I discovered after some considerable time that the tuner was in fact not working, and duly sent for another, which worked fine.

The swapping over process is pretty simple, it does indeed just plug in, although you do have to take off the cover and backplate to do this.
    Hope this is helpful advice.

Yes tuners are simiply plug 'n' play and are basically designed in effect to be swapped over.
