Cable HD Dreambox witch one ???

Hello everyone, I'm very new to this forum and I'm still very much finding my feet with the whole cable box thing can someone please tell me Which HD box is best to use on my Croydon Virgin cable connection someone say i need dreambox 800 hd with cable tuner installed
whare do i get and how do i update / setup my self (so in future i can update new firmware my self)

As all of these boxes will be no use for cable unless you card share as nagra 3 being impemeted. I would hold on mate.

do i waite for new box to come out witch has card ect..

currently i have old hacked pace box witch is working but have 42" LCD tv with HDMI so i thought buy HD box.

what he was saying is all cable boxes (including your modded one) will be useless sometime soon , probably ,March , as virgn are currently upgrading there encryption to a totally secure one , nagra 3 ,

recently my moded pace box has been reprogrammed dose that mean virgin has updated to Nagra 3 ??? if they has then is it safe to buy dreambox 800 HD ?? and then how i can program my self to receive sports and movie and asian channel ??

what do you mean by box has been reprogrammed. has it taken software update ifso it would be on 3.7.if your channels are working stick with that box for know.you know when you are on n3 as none of the premium channels will be working

Thank you delboy13, i'm new to programming cable box so i'm learning at the moment. if i remember correctly i have change date and flesh file on my pace virgin box with date to 1/3/2011. i take it then it has not been updated to V 3.7. (How do i check witch version i'm running)
just checking has V 3.7 been moded ???
and please advice if v 3.7 is working then if i buy dreambox 800 HD what els i have to do download ??? new image ?? then what els i have to so for virgin croydon area.

Simple as this mate, When N3 is implemented in your area, No third party boxs like dreamboxs, eurovox or the likes. even your chipped pace box will NOT work - all you will get is the free to air chanells, to watch any other chanell - you will have to pay for a sub to either Vxirgin or sly! Do you understand now?
End of free TV is very, very near!!
