DM800 My DM 800 will not start and will not download new image

Hello
After I had uploaded a new image to my DM 800 over ethernet, the unit would not start after reboot.
When I then tried to power up with the power button pushed in I could not get the **stop** message or the IP adress in the display as before.
I only get the "DREAM multimedia" logo in the display.
I then tried to download new image with the DreamUp v1.3.3.4 and connected to the serial port with null modem cable.
I then get contact and the program uploads the flash-loader.
But then the program stalls/stops when it gets to the status "initiating HTTP mode".
I waited 15 minutes before I aborted the program.
I have not checked the "use network" box but even then the DreamUP starts initiating HTTP mode. Is it supposed to do that?
Could you please help me getting my dreambox running again?
The unit is brand new. I got it last friday. I downloaded and tested two images before it stopped working, and it worked OK then.

I solved it

By dowloading the "2nd stage and force flash" package from this forum, I was able to upload a new working image over my null modem serial cable with the patched DreamUP program (v2009) included there.

yep your have flashed bad onto the unit which is why your error. follow what palandreassen states.

Why not consider using a web browser flash instead of a dreamup. Much easier
