how to fix blocky picture break up

    (will work on some) :-
basically if your picture is there but all blocky and broken get yourself a rework iron (solder pro 70-120 do nicley for the price) .make sure you got a heat blower head on the iron ,,use a small amount of flux and and run over the ASIX chip inside the box.this is located just the the left of the card slot on the motherboard on the right of the box as you face it.
i've solved 4 boxes with this fix as its normally just a dry joint through piss poor soldering in the far east.
just to be safe i go over lightly all the mobo's main chips to be safe.

      related to streaming video?

Could streaming video be related to this problem?

I have managed to put a dk1.1 image onto a DM500c and am able to watch TV without any major. However, I find that the video streaming can be a little haphazard (choppy, screen corruption and freezes). Are there any obvious config steps that I can make to improve streaming reliability?

I am using it as a headless box (i.e. only power, network and cable input).

      TIA
      Raj
