sorry mate what is evocam 2.17b&c i might sound a bit stupid but whats the b&c bit

These are versions of evocam217b and 217c have you tried evocam216 if not here it is try it put this in tmp folder use blue button option to add to your box extract it first before puttin in tmp folder

thanks for that m8 unfortunately im not connected yet for blue button add ons so i have to ftp them to the box and shut my internet down then go down stairs to get my box as the computer is in the bedroom then take the box back down to test

all a bit of a pain in the ass

would a long crossovercable not reach from your pc to dreambox
save unplugin the box up and down the stairs

its something im gonna look into in the future problem is id have to run it around the house the wife wont have it hanging round the skirting

the tv and computer are complete opposites in the house it wouldnt be to bad if there were over each other i could take it straight down

ive got a a pair of these
cause my dreambox and pc in two different rooms

got it connected to my router so internet ready to the dreambox and ps3

i guess you can use them if dont have a router just for home network

not 100% sure if you can do it straight out of ethernet port on pc
is your internet through adsl modem ( through telephone line)

so you must have 2 feeds coming in to your home for the for your broard band and for your dreambox or a splitter somewhere where it enters your home
if this is so can you not try the dreambox on the modem feed on a portable or something just to test to check channels

yeh your right mate ive been thinking about that myself i could swap the cable over upstairs for the modem and run it to the box but all the time ive thought i wont bother it will work this time and..............it hasnt

so i might just pull the unit out and swap it over if it doesnt work now im just going to try evocam 2.16 off zzaf786 yesterday havent seen anything for an evocam 2.17 b&C anywhere like he suggested have you
