hi i recently lost all my channels and the box wont even show me a menu can you help ?

Have you tried to reflash the unit. sounds like image has been corrupted!!

hi thanks i have refashed the box and all is working :-) im ready to ftp but the tutorial im watching says about finding the folder with the keys in and i dont have any and scee files

ok i have got the keys and the scee files i have ftpd them to the dreambox and scanned the box i have gone to sky sports and held down the info key for 3 seconds and started eco .. im still not recieving picture any ideas

download the chatterbox toolbar, you will get the files you are looking for in the dreambox fixes folder!!

i installed the tool bar and then it said in fixes there was a new toolbar so i installed that for wizardmods it gave me the keys i needed and i edited them in ftp client
im really confused as it still wont show a picture

After loadng file var/keys and var/scce.
Restart the cam by holding downi 'info' button for about 3 seconds, then press ok to restart cam, go to sly sps 1 then to sly sps 2, then wait for it to update!

birmingham im trying a new set of keys im not very technically minded im affraid i have managed to put the keys and that on and i done what it said before to go to sports and hold down info but it didnt say nuthin bout sports 2 everywhere i look for info they all say something different and now im not sure if i even have the right keys or scee files

On your ftp client, go back into var/keys and var/scce on dreambox, right click, should get option to change attributes, change them on both files to 755 and try restating the cam again!

ok i have gone back to the original files from dreambox stuff , i have tranferred the keys and the scee files over and then the evocamd 2.12 on sports 1 then i changed the channel to sports 2 it has been about 10 minutes and it still showing black screen to me

attributes are set to 755 on the folders already and the files inside the folders are set to 644 is this correct

change all to 755 and start cam again, i dont have my 500 connected to router to check mine, but it wont do any harm!

ok all files and the 2 folders are set to 755 but as yet still nothing has changed , im wondering if my keys are correct do you have a key list and the scee files or know where i can obtain them and also do i have to rescan once the keys are changed ? cheers

latest key on the TCB.cc toolbar, select ' files and fixes, then 'updates and fixes', then 'dreambox fixes', ftp all the nagraroms to your dreambox, keys def up to date then,

Thats the proper fix, now for the quick fix, get latest keys for your area from toolbar, go into keylist.txt file in your dreambox, right click and edit keys manually, making sure to have in exact same fomat, no extra spaces or the likes, then save and exit, this should get you going, after that i'm stumped mate.
Backup image i have is no good to ya as i dont have your scan options that you will need for your area!!

i updated the nags and as soon as i transferred them bang the box came to life.

i just wanna say thanks for being patient im over the moon now :-)
