DM 7025 keeps crashing

Hi everybody, i have just received new DM 7025 with S and C tuners.

I have stareted the box with just cable attached and original image, the box has crashed after few seconds. After each reboot, it crashes again and produces the same error code and reboots itself again, it keeps doing this in a loop.

I have tried to unplug the box several times, but no luck.

Any help how to revive the box greatly appreciated

Maybe try flashing another image.

I hear the nabilo or LT images are good.

i would start with the lt image first which is a bit more userfriendly to start with

you will need to flash this new firmware to the dreambox
have you got a null modem cable

I would like to flash the box with new image, but I am struggaling to connect to the box, i have a null modem (and cross over cable too) but when I start DreamUp the PC doesn't see the DM

Have you used the null modem cable before? Do you know it works ok?

No, I haven't used one before.

I have just bought it yesterday. I got null modem and usb to serial converter as i dont have any PC with serial port.

Is there any way I can test it?

Make sure it's set to com1 in your device manager

The easiest way to flash a 7025 is like this guide from Dream about the 7020 explains.

It works easiest if you have a DHCP server running on your network like a router. If not it explains how to set the box IP using a serial cable.

This is how I always flash my 7025.
