    DM500 New box - No Service Searching

    Just got a new box from China, I presume a clone. Put on DW 2.0 and now not working. No signal and no service searching.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Try changing the tuner driver (Blue button menu) and see if the service searching option returns.

        @mijmu
        Or, try using the Digital Kaos v1.1 image in the D/L section to see if you get any scanning options.

          Hi All

          Installed the DK1.1 image but same problem. When I look at about, it says frontend unknown.

            Hi
            Are you sure its a 'C' and not a 'T' box? or even an 'S' Sat box?

                if its really is a 'T' mate its only good for watching Terrestrial tv (freeview etc), you need to have a 'C' tuner for cable or an 'S' tuner in it for satelite.

                Did you mean to buy a box with this type of tuner in it, i guess not, can u send it back?

                  Hi Caveman

                  I do need a T-box, I am using a terrestrial signal.

                    Over in Ireland?you'll need the applicable cables.xml to scan
                    Checkout the RED stickies massive amount of info and effort been put into them.

                      If it's a dvb-t box then it will use the terrestrial.xml file and this should already be configured for irish cable.
