Newbie info required

Hi I have looked on forums about this but as yet unable to find answer.I have no Null modem connection on laptop, Can i used patch cable (ethernet cable) to connect to dreambox 500c

Hi i have looked further and found the answer to my question was NO....USB to null converted looks best option... Unless you people know better...

Yes you can can connect via an ethernet cable, aslong as you have configured your dreambox and pc with static ip addresses. Look around the forum for info on setting these up within a LAN there is plenty of information.

Basically you need to setup the drembox ip details within setup/expert/communication settings menu on your dreambox.
